La Leche League is dedicated to the importance of the mother-infant relationship. We believe that breastfeeding not only provides the best nutrition, but that it is also an ideal way to initiate good parent-child relationships, thereby benefiting the whole family.
La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Every Leader is an experienced nursing mother, accredited by La Leche League International to provide information, support and encouragement to breastfeeding mothers. Leaders are available to you at any time by phone regarding meeting information and whenever you have breastfeeding questions that cannot wait until the next meeting. You can find La Leche League International's extensive resources available at your convenience at http://www.llli.org and La Leche League of Southern California/Nevada at http://www.lalecheleaguescnv.org. You can also ask written questions at http://www.llli.org/help_form.

All women who have an interest in breastfeeding are invited to attend La Leche League meetings and are accepted with open arms. The ideal time to begin attending is during pregnancy because the information received in advance may prove to be vital to a mother when her baby arrives. Bring a friend if you'd like. Remember, you don't have to be a pregnant or new mom to come to meetings. Experienced nursing mothers will also find the meetings helpful and supportive. Babies are always WELCOME at all LLL meetings. Please do bring your breastfed baby — you'll both be happier!!
Each series of meetings is a set of four topics. Mothers are welcome to begin attending meetings at any point in the series and as many times they are beneficial to her and her family. No two series are exactly alike since we are all growing in our understanding of child development, mothering, and family life. The series' topics are:
| Meeting #1 | The Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother and Baby |
|---|---|
| Meeting #2 | Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed Baby |
| Meeting #3 | The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties |
| Meeting #4 | Nutrition and Weaning |

43.3 Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a mother may breastfeed her child in any location, public or private, except the private home or residence of another, where the mother and the child are otherwise authorized to be present.
The Judicial Council shall adopt a rule of court to specifically allow the mother of a breast-fed child to postpone jury duty for a period of up to one year, providing that all steps should be taken to eliminate the need for the mother to physically appear in court to make this request, and providing that at the end of the one-year period, jury duty may be further postponed upon written request by the mother of a breast-fed child.
